CVJ Bearings

CVJ (Constant Velocity Joint) roller bearings are critical components in three-ball pin-type constant velocity joints. These joints are used to connect the differential to the wheels, transmitting torque from the engine and transmission while allowing for axial and angular movement due to suspension motion.

FLT CVJ bearings play a vital role in torque transfer and load-bearing performance in such joints, especially under complex dynamic conditions.

CVJ Roller Bearings

Types

FLT provides three main types of CVJ roller bearings:

  • Integral CVJ Bearings (double-sided retaining rings)
  • Split CVJ Roller Bearings
  • Integral CVJ Roller Bearings(single-sided with retaining ring)

Details

FLT CVJ bearings are manufactured using vacuum-degassed bearing steel, advanced high-speed forging, and specialized heat treatment processes—ensuring superior strength and reliability.

  • High Load Capacity: The radial crushing load exceeds 200 kN, meeting international performance standards.
  • Precision Manufacturing: Fully automated grinding and assembly lines with patented misalignment detection ensure consistency and high-quality output.
  • Outstanding NVH Performance: Designed to minimize noise, vibration, and harshness under high torque and large swing-angle conditions.

Features

    • CVJ Roller Bearings with retaining rings on both sides: simple structure, large load-bearing capacity, easy to process and low in cost
    • CVJ Roller Bearings with single-sided retaining ring: simple structure, large load-bearing capacity, easy to process, and generates low noise during  operation
    • Split CVJ Roller Bearings:complex  structure, weak load-bearing capacity , greater processing difficulty, lower operating noise

Applications

FLT CVJ roller bearings are used in a wide range of drivetrain systems, including:

  • Passenger Vehicles: For front-, rear-, and all-wheel drive configurations using three-ball pin constant velocity joints
  • Commercial Vehicles: Employed in CV joints of rear axles and propeller shafts
  • New Energy Vehicles: Designed for EV and hybrid drivetrains requiring efficient and quiet torque transmission
