Whether traditional fuel vehicles or new energy vehicles, FLT steering system bearings can meet the demands of high precision, high load capacity and long service life.

Steering System Bearings

Types

FLT steering system bearings are available in various types, including but not limited to:

  • Steering column bearing
  • Four-point contact ball bearing
  • Double-row angular contact ball bearing

Details

FLT hub bearings are made from high-quality materials using advanced manufacturing processes. They deliver exceptional load capacity and long-lasting durability—ensuring reliable performance even under harsh conditions and complex road environments.

  • Material Selection: High-carbon chromium bearing steel is used for its hardness, wear resistance, fatigue strength, and impact resistance—while balancing lightweight design requirements.
  • Manufacturing Process: State-of-the-art forging, heat treatment, grinding, and assembly processes ensure precise dimensional and rotational accuracy.

Performance Optimization: Through detailed design and simulation, FLT hub bearings are engineered for high load capacity, long service life, and low friction. Integration with ABS sensors allows for real-time monitoring and intelligent performance.

Features

Deep groove ball bearing‌‌

Deep groove ball bearings are used in the support parts of the steering string, bearing certain axial and radial loads. They have relatively small radial and axial clearances, with a negative working clearance to reduce the axial movement of the steering string and maintain its stability. The bearings have undergone special treatment and have good wear resistance.

Four-point contact ball bearing

Four-point contact ball bearings are used in the steering column of commercial vehicles to support the column and transmit torque. Their appearance is similar to that of deep groove ball bearings, and their internal structure is of a double-groove type, presenting a peach-shaped feature. They can withstand bidirectional axial loads, have small axial movement, large load capacity, are easy to install, have good rigidity, and can effectively reduce friction losses and energy consumption.

Double-row angular contact ball bearing

Double-row angular contact ball bearings feature a double-groove structure for both inner and outer rings, with two rows of rolling elements. They have a large radial and axial load-carrying capacity, flexible rotation, and the clearance can be flexibly adjusted according to actual needs. They have good support rigidity and can withstand bending moments caused by eccentric loads. The rings have undergone special heat treatment, significantly enhancing wear resistance and extending service life.

Applications

Steering column bearings are widely used in steering control, steering wheel support and noise reduction technology of passenger vehicles, commercial vehicles and other related vehicles.
