Transmission Bearings

Automobile transmission bearings are an indispensable and important component of the automotive transmission system. They are used to support the rotors and transmission gears in the transmission, and to transmit and bear the input torque of the transmission. Its main function is to reduce friction during high-speed operation and ensure the stable running of the rotor and gears. Its quality is directly related to the transmission efficiency and safety performance of the vehicle.

Transmission Bearings

Types

FLT automotive transmission bearings can provide various types of bearings, including but not limited to:

Tapered roller bearing

By optimizing the shape of the rolling surface of the rollers and rings, and improving the shape of the sliding contact area between the rollers and the inner ring as well as the cage, stress concentration is reduced, achieving an ultra-high level of high load capacity and high-speed rotational performance.

Deep groove ball bearing

Through special heat treatment and material selection, the wear resistance of the surface structure and the internal toughness are enhanced. While maintaining surface hardness, a tough structure is manufactured to ensure an extended service life.

Deep groove ball bearings with ultra-low friction torque and sealing rings for gearboxes

The sealing ring with a unique shape and ultra-low friction torque is adopted to achieve low friction torque. ( Compared with the previous products of our company, it has decreased by 80% (maximum).

Cylindrical roller bearing

Support bearings for gearboxes that balance high load capacity and cost.

Details

FLT transmission bearings are involved in multiple application fields such as manual transmission, automatic transmission, hybrid vehicle transmission and pure electric reducer. The internal optimized structure of this type of bearing meets different application conditions, including the selection of high-quality materials, special heat treatment processes for the inner and outer rings of the bearing, and low friction torque structural sealing rings for deep groove ball bearings, etc. At the same time, by applying the manufacturing technology of transmission bearings, high precision, low noise and high cleanliness of the bearings are achieved, meeting the performance requirements of high temperature, high speed, rapid speed change and low torque of the bearings.

Optimal design: Taking the installation position, load spectrum, operating speed, lubricating oil, and contaminated environment of the transmission bearing as the input, the ROMAX software is used to conduct dynamic verification of the bearing life and stress calculation analysis. Based on the analysis results, the internal structure of the bearing is optimized to achieve synchronous forward design and development with the transmission mainframe customer.

High-quality materials: The main material of the transmission bearings is high-quality high-carbon chromium bearing steel, which features high hardness, high wear resistance, fatigue resistance and corrosion resistance.

Special heat treatment for long life: In the high speed operation of the bearing, gear meshing may produce foreign substances, which enter between the rolling elements of the bearing and the raceways of the inner ring, thereby easily causing damage to the working surface of the bearing. Through surface strengthening heat treatment of bearing components, not only is a certain depth of carburized layer, a specific amount of residual austenite content, and compressive stress achieved on the surface, but it also improves the size and distribution of carbide particles in domestic bearing steel to some extent. This effectively enhances the wear resistance and rolling contact fatigue life of bearings in contaminated environments.

Manufacturing technology: Advanced forging, heat treatment, grinding and assembly processes are adopted, automated and intelligent processing equipment are applied, supplemented by workshop production management systems such as MES and SPC, to ensure dimensional accuracy and rotational accuracy of bearings while achieving traceability of product batches and quality.

Features

Tapered roller bearing

Tapered roller bearings can simultaneously withstand combined axial and radial loads, mainly radial loads. By optimizing the shape of the rolling surfaces of the rollers and rings, and optimizing the design of the large flange of the inner ring and the ball base surface of the rolling elements, the functions of reducing friction and lowering torque can be achieved. By adopting special heat treatment, it can still show excellent performance in a polluted environment, thereby extending the service life of the bearing.

Deep groove ball bearing

Deep groove ball bearings adopt special design of groove curvature to enhance the axial load-carrying capacity of the bearing, increase the working speed and reduce friction. Through special heat treatment and cage optimization process, the bearing can still demonstrate excellent performance in polluted environments and extend the service life of the bearing.

Applications

Traditional fuel vehicle gearboxes, gearboxes for new energy hybrid vehicles, etc.
