Electric Motor Bearings
Electric motor bearings are designed to meet the increasingly diverse demands of modern applications. From stationary power sources to battery-powered mobility solutions, electric motors are replacing combustion engines as a locally emission-free alternative. They are also widely used in small auxiliary components such as fans, computer coolers, fridge compressors, and automotive window lifters.
FLT offers a full range of electric motor bearings, engineered to ensure low noise, reduced vibration, and high precision. Each bearing is subjected to 100% end-of-line noise testing (EMQ – Electric Motor Quality) to guarantee consistent, reliable performance.
Types
FLT provides several types of bearings for electric motors, including:
Standard deep groove ball bearings
Hybrid bearings with ceramic rolling elements
Electric current insulating bearings with ceramic coating on the inner or outer ring
These types are selected based on the motor’s design, performance requirements, and the risk of electric current damage.

Details
In electric drives and belt-driven systems, bearing damage from electric current corrosion is a known issue. It is caused by static electricity or circulating currents in electric machines. To prevent this, FLT offers two main technologies:
Hybrid bearings: These use ceramic balls or rollers, reducing electrical conductivity through the bearing.
Electric current insulating bearings: These feature a ceramic insulating layer on either the inner or outer ring. This solution is more cost-effective and increasingly popular, particularly for deep groove ball bearings and cylindrical roller bearings.
FLT electric motor bearings are designed to operate quietly, efficiently, and with excellent resistance to wear and electric damage.
