As customer expectations for smoothness and comfort in elevator travel increase—and elevator speeds continue to rise—bearing systems are facing higher demands. Elevator traction machine bearings must not only support heavy loads and deliver long service life but also minimize noise and vibration:

  • Traction Machine Bearings: self-aligning roller bearings and deep groove ball bearings used in elevator traction machines are required to meet minimum vibration level V2. FLT bearings are precisely machined and optimized for low noise and extended service life.
  • Steel Belt Pulley Bearings: typically double-row angular contact ball bearings, these are integrated with the pulley’s outer ring and coated with anti-corrosion treatments.
  • Guide and Rope Wheel Bearings: deep groove ball bearings with low vibration, low friction torque, and good sealing performance are used.
  • Sealing and Surface Treatments: many FLT elevator bearings incorporate advanced sealing designs and surface coatings to improve corrosion resistance and operating reliability under challenging conditions.

Features

  • Deep Groove Ball Bearings: these bearings offer excellent sealing performance, low start-up torque, and minimal operating noise. They are capable of supporting substantial radial loads and a limited degree of axial loads, making them ideal for guide wheels and rope wheels.

  • Spherical Roller Bearings: available in sealed or open configurations, these bearings offer high load capacity, precise rotation, low noise, and automatic self-alignment—ensuring consistent performance even under misalignment or shaft deflection.

  • Double-row Angular Contact Ball Bearings. designed with double grooves on both inner and outer rings, these bearings can withstand significant radial and axial loads. They provide smooth operation, low friction, and resistance to overturning moments, and are commonly used in steel pulley applications.

  • Cylindrical Roller Bearings: these separable bearings feature high radial load capacity, low torque, and quiet, high-precision rotation. Their ease of installation makes them suitable for traction machine assemblies.
